Past life regression - my first time being hypnotized
Being hypnotized was a really cool experience. The past life regression session was 3 hours long and I was working with a licensed hypnotherapist named Melanie. She was very kind and compassionate, I immediately felt at ease with her.
I laid down on her sofa and used a few soft pillows to get myself into a comfortable position. There was a basket of blankets near the sofa and I asked her if she could place two of them on me (I’m always cold).
She sat in a chair a few feet away from me. She started the session by asking me a series of questions to uncover the type of guidance that I was looking for. We focused on two fears that have held me back in my current life - the fear of standing up for myself to those in positions of power, and the fear of feeling inferior to my peers despite my many accomplishments.
She walked me through the goal of hypnosis - to access my subconscious mind where memories - and trauma - from my past lives are stored. The subconscious mind is also a gateway into the quantum field, so I would be able to meet my spirit guide and see where the soul goes once a person dies. I was excited but also a little skeptical.
She then began the process of hypnotizing me, saying things in a soothing voice to deeply relax me. It took me 30-minutes to get into a trance-like state. My body felt very heavy, like it was made of concrete. I struggled to move my limbs but I wasn’t scared. I knew I was in a safe place and that I still had control of my body.
Once my subconscious mind was activated, Melanie walked me through how to navigate the past life memories that were stored there. I vividly pictured myself walking down a long hallway with several doors on each side. They were all the same size and the same color – a neutral wood color with a black doorknob. But then I saw a door on my right that stood out from the rest – it was sky blue with a gold doorknob. This door was calling to me.
I opened the door and was hit with a rush of cold air that I could actually feel – it was snowing. I was a little girl, probably the age of 10, dressed in a beautiful knee-length red coat with a matching beret…
